Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Junior Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) Team Manager to lead a DRP planning team across the distribution network. You will optimize inventory deployment, manage replenishment, and balance product availability with service levels.

You will act as a people leader and SME, driving planning excellence, supporting decision-making, and continually improving processes and ways of working. This role emphasizes collaboration with multiple functions and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 6–9 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning with DRP/replenishment focus.
• 3+ years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Distribution Requirements Planners (~14 direct reports).
• Ensure effective inventory deployment and replenishment across warehouses and DCs.
• Monitor stock levels, availability, and distribution KPIs.
• Identify supply risks via scenario analysis and mitigation planning.
• Drive exception management for supply and distribution challenges.
• Collaborate with Demand, Supply, Logistics, Customer Service and Commercial teams.
• Lead continuous improvement of planning processes and systems.
• Support and develop planners across experience levels.
• Promote planning excellence and best practices.

Your role

As a Junior Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) Team Manager, you will lead a team of DRP planners within the End-to-End Planning organization. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal inventory deployment and replenishment across the distribution network, balancing product availability, inventory levels, and customer service performance.

In this role, you will act as both a people leader and a subject matter expert, driving planning excellence, supporting business decision-making, and continuously improving planning processes and ways of working.

This role is NOT intended for professionals whose experience is primarily focused on transportation planning, logistics operations, freight management, warehousing operations, or production planning.

Your tasks

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Distribution Requirements Planners (around 14 direct reports), fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.
• Ensure effective inventory deployment and replenishment across warehouses and distribution centres to achieve service level targets.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, stock availability, and key distribution planning KPIs.
• Identify supply and inventory risks through scenario analysis and support mitigation plans and decision-making.
• Drive exception management and ensure timely resolution of supply and distribution challenges.
• Collaborate closely with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Logistics, Customer Service, and Commercial teams to optimize product availability.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes, operational efficiency, and system utilization.
• Support and develop planners with varying levels of experience, ensuring consistent execution of planning activities.
• Champion planning excellence and promote best practices across the distribution planning function.

Your profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 6-9 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, with strong exposure to Distribution Planning, DRP, Replenishment Planning, or Inventory Planning.
• Minimum 3 years of people management experience, including coaching, performance management, and team development.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles, network replenishment processes, stock balancing, and service level management.
• Proven ability to analyze complex data, manage KPIs, and make decisions based on scenario modelling and risk assessment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across functions and organizational levels.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities.
• Continuous improvement mindset with a track record of driving process enhancements and operational excellence.
• Fluent English.
• FMCG experience will be considered a strong advantage.
• Experience with planning tools and ERP systems such as SAP APO, SAP IBP, Kinaxis, OMP, Excel, Power BI or similar solutions will be an asset.
