Job summary

HeadHR is seeking a backend developer to design and implement robust back-end services using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS. You will work on REST APIs, data models in MongoDB, and containerized deployments in Docker and Kubernetes. The role covers CI/CD, deployments to Azure, and Linux server administration.

You will join a team focused on scalable architectures and ongoing automation, with opportunities for growth and hands-on learning in real projects.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript and Node.js.
• Basic knowledge of NestJS or willingness to quickly learn the framework.
• Understanding of backend applications and REST APIs.
• Basic knowledge of MongoDB and NoSQL databases.
• Basic knowledge of Git and working with a code repository.
• Basic knowledge of Linux and terminal usage.
• Basic knowledge of Docker and containerization.
• Basic understanding of Kubernetes and containerization.
• Basic knowledge of DevOps topics including CI/CD and deployment.
• Basic knowledge of Azure or public cloud.
• Basic networking knowledge (HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, ports, TCP/IP).
• Ability to read technical English documentation.
• Independent in researching and solving problems.
• Experience from personal/academic projects, internships, or training.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend applications in monolithic and microservice architectures.
• Build apps with Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.
• Create REST APIs and service integrations.
• Work with MongoDB data models, queries, and optimization.
• Prepare apps for test and production environments.
• Create and maintain Docker images and configurations.
• Deploy apps on Kubernetes and manage clusters.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes.
• Collaborate on deploying to Azure and Linux servers.
• Basic Linux environment administration.
• Monitor apps and logs to identify issues.
• Automate repetitive tasks around running, deploying, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with developers to diagnose issues in test/production.
• Create and update basic technical docs.
• Gradually take on more infrastructure/deployment responsibilities.
