Job summary

Luxoft in Kraków is seeking an experienced DevOps engineer who can also understand Java code. The role combines backend development awareness with strong expertise in Kubernetes, Unix/Linux, Shell/Bash and Python to drive automation, deployment, and cloud operations in Azure.

You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, monitor and scale apps on Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker, and optimize workloads on Unix/Linux systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps/SRE or related roles.
• Proficiency in Java (8/11/17) and Azure cloud services.
• Strong background in CI/CD, automation, and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliable delivery to Azure.
• Automate deployment, monitoring, and scaling of applications (App Services, Azure SQL, Kubernetes, Docker).

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with both modern frameworks and legacy technologies, while also driving automation, deployment, and cloud operations in Azure. In addition to backend development, this role requires solid knowledge of Kubernetes, Unix systems, Shell/Bash, and Python, as well as strong troubleshooting skills to quickly analyze and resolve issues in complex environments.

• Strong background in DevOps practices: CI/CD, automation, infrastructure as code.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep ,or similar).
• Proficiency with Kubernetes for orchestration and scaling.
• Experience with Unix/Linux systems, Shell/Bash scripting.
• Knowledge of Python for automation and tooling.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, ability to debug across distributed systems.
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.).

Nice to have

• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Bicep).
• Experience setting up monitoring and logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Azure Monitor).
