Allegro Ltd. in Poznań seeks a mid-level Data Scientist to advance Domain-Aware Hybrid Search, integrating LLMs, Semantic Search and Knowledge Graphs for millions of shoppers.

You will design, develop and deploy predictive and matching models, build query-to-category and query-to-product mappings, and help raise internal AI engineering capabilities. Qualifications

• Degree in statistics or mathematics or closely related field.
• 2+ years building ML solutions released to production.
• Strong understanding of statistical and ML methods, esp. forecasting and decision-tree algorithms.
• Proficient in Python and common dev tools.
• Experience processing massive datasets on GCP with tabular, spatial, NLP, image and time-series data.
• English B2 and Polish C1.
• Analytical thinking, learning agility, cooperation and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy models solving complex business problems (predictive, segmentation, forecasting, recommendations).
• Develop query-to-category and query-to-product matching models to improve search experience.
• Build internal AI engineering capabilities, including fine-tuning small, efficient models.
• Lead all DS project phases from problem framing to deployment and monitoring.
• Work with diverse data types and model families (boosting, Bayesian, causal inference, DL).
• Collaborate with stakeholders, analytics and data engineering on experiments and deployment.
• Ensure models reflect business processes and GenAI challenges.
