Tylko is seeking a Junior Data Engineer in Warsaw to help build data infrastructure and enable data-driven decisions. You will translate business needs into robust data models and work closely with stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply SQL skills daily, and grow in a fast-paced environment that embraces AI tools and modern tech.

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Data Engineer with strong SQL skills. In this role, you will help build the infrastructure needed to manage large volumes of data and support our data-driven culture. You will translate business needs into well‑structured data models, ensuring our data is organised in a way that enables informed, data‑driven decision‑making across the company.

Your technical skills are as important as your communication skills. You will work closely with business stakeholders on a daily basis to understand their requirements and translate them into clear, effective data models and solutions.

What You’ll Do

• You’ll take ownership, make things happen, and see your impact. Specifically, you will:

• Build and implement optimised data models that support business requirements and ensure data integrity

• Integrate data from various databases, APIs, streaming platforms, and files

• Monitor the performance, reliability, and cost‑efficiency of our data pipelines and storage systems

• Troubleshoot data issues, resolve data quality problems, and actively reduce technical debt

• Partner closely with business stakeholders to translate their needs into actionable data solutions

What we’re looking for:

• Strong SQL skills, allowing you to write and optimise complex queries

• Experience in data modelling

• Experience gathering requirements directly from business stakeholders - understanding the current situation and desired outcomes, then proposing an appropriate solution

• Strong motivation to further develop your skills in an area that interests you (e.g. ETL, data governance)

• Fluent Polish and good command of English

• Working from our Warsaw office 3 days a week

Nice to have:

• Python

• Experience with any cloud platform (GCP preferred)

• Experience building reusable AI solutions, such as prompts, workflows, skills, or automations
