Job summary

Ericsson Kraków is seeking a software engineer to join a product development team working on telecom software. You will support investigation of issues, contribute to root-cause analysis, and implement small software improvements within a hybrid work model in Kraków.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration across technical domains, and applying AI-assisted tools to aid troubleshooting and testing, with opportunities to work on cutting-edge 5G/6G technology projects.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C++17 or newer, with basic to good understanding of modern C++ practices.
• Experience using Linux environments for development and testing.
• Familiarity with Git workflows and code review tools (Gerrit).

Responsibilities

• Investigate technical issues identified during internal testing and on customer sites.
• Support root cause analysis and verification of fixes.
• Design, implement and test small software improvements.
• Develop and maintain unit tests and automated test cases.
• Use approved AI-assisted tools to support learning, troubleshooting, code understanding, testing and everyday engineering tasks.
• Collaborate with developers, testers and system experts across technical domains.
• Participate in code reviews and follow software engineering best practices.
• Build product knowledge and contribute to continuous quality improvements.
