Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Junior AP1000 Instructor to support the AP1000 project in northern Poland. The role starts with remote work within Poland during an 18‑month qualification program, including hands‑on training in Madrid, Spain.

As the project progresses, the position will relocate to the Gdansk/Lubiatowo region. Candidates must be eligible to travel internationally, hold a Master’s in engineering/physics, and be proficient in English.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering, physics or related fields.
• Previous training experience is required.
• Proficient in English language.
• Availability to travel and spend extended periods in Madrid as part of training.
• Driver's license required.
• Experience in power plants or industrial facilities is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all stages of training processes for initial and continuing education.
• Manage analysis, design and implementation of ongoing training needs.
• Develop sessions for licensed and non-licensed operations personnel, including classrooms, plant and simulator.
• Detect malfunctions in the simulator and assist in corrections and tests.
• Coordinate training and plan training programs with committees.
• Develop advanced educational means (simulators, multimedia, videos and models).

About The Role

As a Junior AP1000 Instructor you will support the future AP1000 project in northern Poland. During the initial phase, you may work remotely from within Poland while completing a comprehensive qualification and training program of approximately 18 months. This program will include extended assignments in Madrid, Spain, where the instructor will receive training, mentoring, and hands‑on experience alongside experienced AP1000 training personnel. As the project progresses, we expect to transition the position's permanent work location to the Gdansk area / Lubiatowo area in northern Poland. Therefore, you must either already reside in the region or be willing to relocate there. We ask that you have flexibility to travel internationally. You will report to the Operations and Technical Training Manager and be located in Poland. Model of work: remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in all stages of the Systematic Approach to Training process of the initial and continuing education programs of their specialty
• Manage the analysis, design and implementation of ongoing training needs
• Develop the sessions corresponding to the training courses of licensed and non-licensed operations personnel, including teaching sessions in the classroom, plant, and the simulator
• Detect any type of malfunction in the simulator and collaborate in the analysis and implementation of corrections, conduct the tests
• Coordinate training, providing support to training committees and planning training programs
• Define and collaborate in the development of advanced educational means (simulators, multimedia, videos, and models)

Qualifications

• Graduates of a Master's Degree in scientific-technical specialties (Engineering, Physics or related fields of study)
• Previous experience in training
• Proficient in English language
• Availability to travel and spend extended periods in Madrid, Spain, as part of the training and qualification program
• Driver's license required
• Experience in power plants or industrial facilities valuable

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 7,333 to 9,133 PLN gross per month.

In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
