Lufthansa Group Business Services in Kraków is seeking a (Junior) Accountant in OTC to independently manage accounting tasks based on vouchers and data from their area. The role follows AR procedures and international accounting standards, with opportunities for professional growth.

The position requires at least a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or near completion), 1 year of accounting experience, English proficiency (min B1/B2) and a second language as per service needs.

Job description

(Junior) Accountant in OTC is responsible for independent handling of finance accounting based on vouchers and data received in their area of responsibility as well as for data verification, investigation and decision making concerning outgoing invoices. They perform tasks according to the accounts receivables procedures to meet quality standards and internationally accepted accounting principles.

Tasks

• Receive and issue accounting documents, either physically or electronically, and process data and vouchers according to accounts receivable procedures, general accounting principles, the chart of accounts, cost center structures, and applicable country-specific work instructions
• Check and reconcile accounting documents and received data for completeness and clarify missing or incomplete information in line with accounts receivable procedures
• Check and obtain required authorizations according to established procedures
• Initiate the creation and maintenance of customer master data in the accounting system
• Handle cash collection activities and customer inquiries
• Ensure that agreed service levels regarding timeliness and accuracy of accounting data processing are maintained within the area of responsibility
• Provide second-language support and independently handle incoming and outgoing documents
• Junior Accountant performs tasks with support of experienced colleagues
• Perform all other duties assigned or delegated by supervisors

Requirements

• Master/Bachelor degree or at least accomplished 3rd year of studies in any disciplines
• At least 1 year of professional experience in accounting for Accountant position
• *Any corporate/administrative/internship experience will be and asset for Junior Advisor position
