Job summary

Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) in Kraków is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to design and implement automated testing strategies. You will develop frameworks, execute SQL data validation scripts, and integrate testing with defect management and source control tools.

The role requires 2+ years in test automation, strong QA fundamentals, and hands-on Java and REST API scripting. A hybrid schedule applies, with 3 days in the office and 2 days for parents of young children.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 2+ years of experience in Test Automation and related tools
• Deep understanding of quality assurance
• Understanding of system integration, regression, administration and implementation
• Strong experience with SDLC standards and best automation practices.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)
• SQL knowledge and database understanding
• Java programming experience
• Scripting knowledge in Java and Rest APIs required

Responsibilities

• Design automation test strategies, plans, and test cases for integration and regression testing.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks, tools, and environments.
• Execute SQL scripts for data validation and test data preparation.
• Analyze requirements and define effective automated test scenarios.
• Run automated tests, evaluate results, and recommend quality improvements.
• Implement API integrations between testing, defect management, and source control tools.
• Perform risk assessments and communicate key testing risks to stakeholders.
• Monitor and report testing progress, quality metrics, and defect status.
• Track defects through resolution and support continuous quality improvement.
