Job summary

Brown Brothers Harriman is seeking a Technical Leader to join the Data Transformation Technology team in Kraków. You will guide architecture, design, and implementation of low-code/no-code apps forming a business process fabric for BBH teams.

You’ll lead a development team, drive architecture decisions, and mentor engineers while delivering scalable distributed systems with Java technologies. Hybrid work model with in-office/remote balance is offered.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Technology or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 9 years of professional experience as a software engineer (backend or full-stack).
• Minimum of 2 years in a technology lead position; responsible for system design and delivery.
• Strong technical background with hands-on development experience.
• Comfortable with Agile operating models.
• Excellent communication skills; fluent English.
• Proven track record in designing large-scale distributed systems with Java.

Responsibilities

• Manage development team, guide and train junior members.
• Communicate efficiently within and outside the team.
• Facilitate architecture discussions and design decisions.
• Provide technical leadership on best practices for architecture and tech.
• Design and develop distributed computing systems for internal/external clients.
• Conduct code reviews and establish team standards.
• Identify issues/risks and contribute to iterative discussions.
• Ensure scalability, testability, security, and resiliency for business users.
• Foster automation and support CI/CD pipelines.
