Job summary

KUBO is hiring four Senior Java Developers, including a Tech Lead, to build banking integrations for a payments platform. The project runs for six months and is 100% remote from Poland, starting January 2027.

You will coordinate a development team, lead technical discussions with international banks, and design financial integration architectures. This is a B2B engagement with private medical, life insurance, and a sports card perks package.

Qualifications

• Strong Java expertise and commercial experience at Senior Java Developer level.
• Experience leading technical discussions with external partners or clients.
• Experience designing and developing systems based on microservices architecture.
• English proficiency at C1 level, Polish minimum C1.
• Previous Tech Lead experience coordinating a development team.
• Ability to join the project in January 2027.

• Acting as a Tech Lead and coordinating the work of the development team responsible for banking integrations.
• Leading technical discussions with international banks and external integration providers.
• Analyzing banks' technical documentation and identifying requirements for individual integrations.
• Preparing technical designs for integrations, taking into account the characteristics of individual banks and their communication models.
• Making technical decisions and owning integration solution design.
• Coordinating development activities and ensuring efficient delivery across the team.
• Ensuring production readiness and overseeing testing and data handling from banks.
• Collaborating with Customer Support and other business areas to meet regulatory requirements.

Job description

We are looking for 4 Senior Java Developers, including one Tech Lead, to build integrations for bank deposits and withdrawals.

You will connect banks, including international banks, with an existing payments platform and back-office systems. The platform is already running in production - you will add new integrations, not build it from scratch. You will have opportunity to take part in project for 6 months, 100% remote from any place in Poland. If you have experience in financial, banking industry - new opportunities are waiting for you from January 2027!

Key responsibilities

Acting as a Tech Lead and coordinating the work of the development team responsible for banking integrations.

Leading technical discussions with international banks and external integration providers.

Analysing banks' technical documentation and identifying requirements for individual integrations.

Preparing technical designs for integrations, taking into account the specific characteristics of individual banks and their communication models.

Making technical decisions regarding integration implementation based on the existing architecture.

Coordinating development activities and ensuring efficient delivery across the team.

Supporting the team in resolving technical challenges and handling non-standard integration scenarios.

Overseeing implementation quality, testing, and production readiness.

Ensuring proper handling of data received from banks, including validation, normalisation, and edge-case management.

Collaborating with other business areas, including Customer Support, to address operational and regulatory requirements in individual markets.

Ensuring appropriate technical documentation and knowledge transfer to the teams responsible for maintaining the solution after each integration is completed.

Previous experience as a Tech Lead, including coordinating the work of a development team.

Experience leading technical discussions with external partners, vendors, or clients.

Ability to make technical decisions and take ownership of integration solution design.

Strong Java expertise and commercial experience at Senior Java Developer level.

Experience in designing and developing systems based on microservices architecture.

Ability to independently analyse technical documentation provided by vendors and translate requirements into concrete technical and architectural solutions.

English proficiency at C1 level, Polish min. C1
