Job description

The international IT сompany Andersen invites a Java Engineer with Camunda to work on large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and Camunda BPMN.
• Modeling, implementing, and optimizing business workflows using Camunda BPMN and DMN.
• Designing and implementing scalable, microservice-based architectures with RESTful APIs and asynchronous communication.
• Integrating Camunda processes into distributed systems and ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Writing and optimizing SQL/NoSQL queries to support complex data operations.
• Participating in code reviews, sharing best practices, and mentoring junior developers.
• Collaborating closely with architects, DevOps, and QA engineers to ensure high delivery quality.
• Taking initiative in improving processes, automation, and code quality standards.

Requirements

• Commercial experience as a Java Developer for 3+ years.
• Strong proficiency with Java 11+, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with Camunda BPM (process modeling, orchestration, and integration).
• Experience with AWS or another major cloud provider (GCP/Azure).
• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and deployment.
• Solid understanding of microservice architecture and REST-based communication.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions).
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

• Experience integrating Camunda with external systems (via REST, Java delegates, or message queues).
• Knowledge of BPMN/DMN best practices, versioning, and workflow optimization.
• Exposure to event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ).
• Understanding of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers).
• Experience with API Gateway / Service Mesh (Kong, Istio) setups.
• Understanding of security best practices (OAuth2, Keycloak, JWT).
