Job summary

Optiveum is seeking a Java Developer with DevOps experience to join a globally leading investment bank project. You will build and run high-performance Java applications on Azure, covering development and DevOps tasks such as containerisation, AKS, Helm and Terraform.

The role is hybrid in Kraków, with three days per week onsite at the client’s office. Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of experience, strong Java/Spring skills, and solid DevOps and messaging experience.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in Java/DevOps roles.
• Proficient in Java with Spring Boot and Spring Security.
• Strong DevOps skills: containerisation, Kubernetes, Azure, AKS and Terraform.
• Messaging systems experience with Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• SQL and PostgreSQL expertise; familiarity with in-memory data grids (Apache Ignite, Hazelcast).
• Fluent English (technical and business).
• Polish or EU citizenship, or valid work permit for at least 12 months.

• Develop and maintain Java (Spring Boot) applications for high-performance messaging systems.
• Build and integrate messaging solutions using Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Containerise apps and deploy to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) with Helm.

Java Developer with DevOps Experience

About the Offer

We are currently looking for a Java Developer with DevOps experience to join the team of one of the world's leading global investment banks. The project is delivered together with a large international IT services company. For this role, Optiveum is the recruitment and contracting party, which means you will sign the cooperation agreement directly with us.

You will build and run high-performance, messaging-based Java applications on Azure, covering both development and the DevOps side: containerisation, Kubernetes (AKS), Helm and Terraform.

Key Details:

• Rate: 115–160 PLN/h (B2B), depending on experience: 5–8 years: 115–140 PLN/h; 8–10 years: 135–160 PLN/h

• Work Model: Hybrid, 3 days per week from the client's office (non-negotiable), full-time

Location:

Kraków (candidates must live in or near Kraków)

Requirements:

Recruitment Process:

• One interview with the IT services partner, followed by 1–3 interviews with the bank

• Technical tasks are done live: please have your development environment, tools and language/framework versions set up and tested beforehand. The use of AI tools, coding assistants or code generators during interviews is not allowed
