Infolet in Kraków is seeking an experienced Java Engineer to design, develop, and maintain distributed systems and microservices. You will work in a hybrid environment, blending software development with DevOps, SRE, and production support to ensure high availability and performance of critical applications.

You will collaborate with product owners and engineers, drive DevOps practices, enhance observability, and contribute to CI/CD improvements and incident management.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience crafting distributed systems in Java.
• Strong Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture knowledge.
• Experience with modern Java versions (Java 25+).
• Solid DevOps, CI/CD automation and lifecycle management understanding.
• Experience with Jenkins, Ansible, or similar automation tools.
• REST APIs and distributed systems expertise.
• Production support, incident management and troubleshooting experience.
• SRE principles, monitoring and observability know‑how.
• Jira and Confluence usage in cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.

PROJECT

Join an international engineering environment focused on developing, maintaining, and improving distributed systems and cloud-based applications.

You will work on modern Java microservices, combining software development with DevOps practices, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and production support. The role involves designing reliable and scalable solutions, improving system observability, and ensuring high availability and performance of business-critical applications.

YOU WILL

• Design, develop, and maintain distributed systems and microservices using Java 25 and Spring Boot
• Drive the adoption of DevOps and Agile principles across engineering teams
• Analyse technical and business requirements and translate them into reliable technical solutions
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Software Engineers, IT Architects, and other stakeholders
• Design and implement scalable solutions following modern software engineering practices
• Apply SRE principles to improve platform reliability, availability, capacity, and performance
• Develop and enhance monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions to support incident detection and resolution
• Participate in Incident Management, Problem Management, and Service Delivery processes
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release processes
• Support application lifecycle management, including vulnerability remediation and production stability
• Identify automation opportunities and reduce manual operational tasks
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and platform reliability

MUST HAVE

• 4+ years of experience in developing and supporting distributed systems using Java
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
• Experience with Java 25 or the ability to work with modern Java versions
• Good understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD automation, and application lifecycle management
• Experience with Jenkins, Ansible, or similar automation tools
• Knowledge of REST APIs and distributed system architecture
• Experience with production support, incident management, and troubleshooting
• Understanding of SRE principles, monitoring, and observability
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional, international teams
• Very good English communication skills

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Knowledge of Spring Cloud, Apache Beam, or Apache Flink
• Experience with Angular
• Familiarity with Redis
• Experience with vulnerability remediation and application security practices
