Job summary

Billennium is seeking a Software Developer for a leading international bank undergoing a digital transformation. You will join Payments Systems to build a next-generation payment platform using microservices, Java 21+, Spring, Kafka, and cloud-ready architectures.

You'll design, develop, test, and deploy features, troubleshoot incidents, participate in Agile ceremonies, and collaborate with architects and stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performance payment services in production.

Qualifications

• Experience with microservices-based systems and Apache Kafka.
• Strong understanding of event-driven architecture principles.
• Experience analyzing technical documentation and business processes.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Hands-end-on with Java 21+ (min Java 11).
• Practical knowledge of Spring Boot 3.4+, Spring Cloud, Spring Web, and Spring Data.
• Experience with Oracle Database, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and Liquibase.
• Experience with Kafka, Spring Cloud Stream Kafka, Schema Registry, and Avro.
• Experience writing automated tests using JUnit 5+.
• Proficiency with Maven and Git.
• Experience with cloud-ready architectures and distributed systems is a plus.
