Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) in Kraków is seeking a Java Developer to join the Data Transformation Technology team. You will design and implement low-code/no-code applications that support business processes across BBH.

You will review code, collaborate with testers and business users, and help shape the architecture while maintaining modern standards and best practices. The role offers a hybrid work model (3 days in the office), growth opportunities, and a supportive environment with training

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience as a Java Developer with contributions to system design and architecture.
• Excellent communication skills and good working command of English.
• Experience with test and build automation using CI/CD pipelines.
• In-depth understanding of databases, web frameworks, and enterprise integration concepts (queue, pub-sub, REST API).
• Experience with microservice architecture.
• Core tech stack includes Spring, SQL, Hibernate, Kafka.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies; OpenShift (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Conduct code reviews for team members.
• Communicate efficiently within and outside the team.
• Contribute to architecture and design discussions with critical thinking.
• Adhere to and propose improvements to standards and practices.
• Provide occasional analysis of issues found in test and production.
• Work with testers and business users to identify shortcomings in function, scalability, testability, security and resiliency.
• Foster automation and support building CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct technical research and provide recommendations for technology stack.
• Provide training, mentoring and guidance to junior team members.
• Assist in hiring qualified personnel.

About the team:

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Java Developer to join our Data Transformation Technology team. In this role you will be responsible for architecture, design and implementation of business-critical low-code/no-code applications that constitute a business process fabric for many BBH's business teams. This position requires a skilled individual who understands how to effectively inspire a technical team to use available technologies to create a stable platform for business users.

In our team, you will be responsible for:

• Develop application code and automated tests of a distributed computing system

What we’re looking for:

• 2+ years of professional experience as a Java Developer with demonstrated contributions to system design and architecture
• Excellent Communication skills, good working command of English
• Experience with test and build automation using CI/CD pipelines
• In-depth understanding the concepts of databases, popular Web frameworks, Enterprise Integrations concepts (queue, pub-sub, REST API)
• Experience with microservice architecture
• Core technical skill set include Spring, SQL, Hibernate, Kafka
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, knowledge of OpenShift (Docker, Kubernetes)
