Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Vans is seeking a Project Management IT Specialist to join the PT/TVT Transformation Team. You will lead major IT programs spanning development, production, and after-sales, driving transformations like mainframe exit and VAN.xA projects.

This role requires coordinating scope, time, risks, resources, and stakeholders to deliver complex IT solutions. The team operates in a hybrid model with on-site collaboration at VAN plants and cross-location engagement.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in IT project management.
• Strong analytical, strategic, and conceptual skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects and communicate effectively across all levels.
• Process understanding and the ability to grasp and communicate complex dependencies.
• Proactive, self-organised working style and willingness to take responsibility for finding solutions.
• Strong communication skills and team spirit.
• Comfortable with occasional short-term travel within Europe and beyond.
• Degree in IT or technical studies or equivalent qualification.
• Business-fluent English; German and Spanish are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead major IT programs and projects across development, production, and sales.
• Drive technology transformation initiatives (e.g., mainframe exit) and product-related projects (e.g., VAN.xA, CKD/SKD projects, plant ramp-ups).
• Ensure timely delivery of complex IT solutions while balancing strategic and operational priorities.
• Manage all scopes of your project: time, scope, risks, resources, organisation and stakeholders, cost and quality.
• Analyze and communicate complex business and IT processes to bridge the gap between technical and business requirements.
• Take responsibility for finding solutions to complex problems, even beyond your immediate area of responsibility.
• Provide technical leadership and coaching for IT workpackages where necessary.
• Present and represent project results and strategic decisions in cross-departmental committees.
