Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Vans is seeking a Project Management IT Specialist to join our PT/TVT Transformation Team. You will lead major IT programs spanning development, production, and after-sales, driving transformation initiatives such as the mainframe exit and product projects like VAN.xA.

You will join a team of up to 15, working hybrid with on-site collaboration at VAN plants across Europe, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in IT project management.
• Strong analytical, strategic, and conceptual skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects and communicate effectively across all levels.
• Process understanding and the ability to grasp and communicate complex dependencies.
• Proactive, self-organized working style and willingness to take responsibility for finding solutions.
• Strong communication skills and team spirit.
• Comfortable with occasional short-term travel within Europe and beyond.
• Degree in IT or technical studies or equivalent qualification.
• Business-fluent English required; German and Spanish are a plus.

As an Project Management IT Specialist in the PT/TVT Transformation Team, you will:

• lead major IT programs and projects across development, production, and sales.
• drive technology transformation initiatives (e.g., mainframe exit) and product-related projects (e.g., VAN.xA, CKD/SKD projects, plant ramp-ups).
• ensure timely delivery of complex IT solutions while balancing strategic and operational priorities.
• manage all scopes of your project: time, scope, risks, ressources, organisation and stakeholders, cost and quality.

You ensure that your project is a success! This will also require you to:

• analyze and communicate complex business and IT processes to bridge the gap between technical and business requirements
• take responsibility for finding solutions to complex problems, even beyond your immediate area of responsibility
• provide technical leadership and coaching for IT workpackages where necessary
• present and represent project results and strategic decisions in cross-departmental committees
