Job summary

HCLTech in Poland is seeking a security professional to drive Threat Modeling initiatives across cloud and on-prem environments. The role requires hands-on SIEM experience and the ability to lead workshops with stakeholders.

You’ll work with Azure/AWS, Windows and Linux stacks, use KQL and scripting to automate tests, and collaborate with engineering teams to strengthen detections and response capabilities. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SIEM experience with strong preference for Microsoft Sentinel.
• Experience in detection engineering, rule creation, and rule testing.
• Ability to automate testing and validation with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Strong English communication, able to lead and moderate workshops.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), OS (Windows/Linux), and databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead Threat Modeling initiatives across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Develop and tune detection rules; validate and test detections.

The role is primarily focused on Threat Modeling. While SOC/SIEM experience is required, the strongest candidates will also have:

• Understanding of infrastructure and cloud environments
• Working knowledge of KQL
• Basic coding/scripting capabilities
• Experience with source control repositories (e.g. Git)
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform

Required Skills and Experience

• SIEM Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, with a strong preference for Microsoft Sentinel.
• Engineering & Rules: Proven experience in detection engineering, rule creation, and rule testing.
• Scripting & Automation: Ability to automate testing and validation processes using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written), with the proven ability to confidently lead and moderate workshops.
• Infrastructure Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), operating systems (Windows, Linux), and databases (SQL/Oracle environments).
• Independence: Ability to work independently and efficiently in a high-volume onboarding environment.
• SIEM & Security: Microsoft Sentinel.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Azure, AWS, Windows, Linux, SQL, Oracle.
• Scripting & Automation: KQL, Python, PowerShell, Bash.
