Job summary

Nomagic, located in Poland, is seeking a Senior IT & Security Engineer to manage internal IT and security operations. This role is critical to maintaining a strong security posture while ensuring compliance with standards such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2.

With a hands-on approach, you will work across cloud, edge, and on-prem infrastructure, directing outsourced IT teams and addressing both strategic and operational challenges. The position offers a competitive salary, equity, and a hybrid work environment based in Warsaw.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT engineering, IT security, or a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with network configuration – firewalls, VLANs, VPN.
• Solid Intune or equivalent MDM experience.

Some of problems you may try to solve with us:

• Leverage your impact by directing our outsourced IT subcontractor – define how things should be done onboarding/offboarding workflows, SaaS administration and day‑to‑day operations, verify execution, and step in hands‑on when needed
• Maintain and improve our ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance posture day‑to‑day on Vanta – evidence, controls, audits
• Co‑create policy for AI tooling usage – be at the forefront of how AI can boost productivity at Nomagic, while applying best security practices around evaluation, access, and data handling
• Design, configure and troubleshoot network equipment and firewalls across our office and customer edge sites

Skills we'd like you to have:

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in IT engineering, IT security, or a similar role
• Strong hands‑on experience with network configuration – firewalls, VLANs, VPN (any vendor)
• Solid Intune or equivalent MDM experience – either hands‑on, or enough depth to spec and verify what an outsourced team implements
• Identity and access management experience – SSO, SAML, Google Workspace or Azure AD
• Scripting ability for automation – Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar
• Experience working within a GRC framework (ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar)
• Fluent communication in English
