Job summary

BMW Group in Poland invites an IT Project/Portfolio Manager to lead delivery of IT initiatives across Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, partnering with business and IT teams and external partners.

You will translate priorities into structured plans, manage budgets and risks, and ensure governance, security, and compliance. Fluent English and Polish required; hybrid work with two days in Warsaw; 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• University degree in IT or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in IT project or portfolio management, ideally in Financial Services.
• Practical knowledge of agile and waterfall methodologies.
• Experience in managing budgets, risks, changes, vendors, and complex stakeholder environments.
• Good understanding of IT security, architecture, compliance, and governance.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the IT project portfolio across Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.
• Translate business priorities into structured IT implementation plans.
• Lead IT projects from requirements definition through implementation, testing, documentation, and rollout.
• Monitor project scope, timelines, budgets, quality, risks, dependencies, and changes, including escalations.
• Coordinate business stakeholders, IT teams, project leads, and external vendors to support timely decision-making.
• Prepare management reports and communicate portfolio status, costs, risks, and KPIs.

• Ensure compliance with IT architecture, security, regulatory, audit, and governance requirements while supporting continuous improvement and standardization of IT project delivery.

What should you bring along?

• University degree in IT or a comparable qualification.
• Professional experience in IT project or portfolio management, ideally in Financial Services.
• Practical knowledge of agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
• Experience in managing budgets, risks, changes, vendors, and complex stakeholder environments.
• Good understanding of IT security, architecture, compliance, and governance.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent Polish and advanced English, with a proactive, collaborative approach and motivation to work in an international and cross-functional environment.
