Faerch is seeking an IT Infrastructure Specialist to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our IT backbone across local and regional locations. You will collaborate with Service Desk, vendors, and central IT to support daily operations and drive infrastructure improvements.
You will own assigned technical areas, resolving incidents and tasks from analysis through to resolution, helping maintain a robust, future-ready IT environment for an international business.
Do you enjoy solving technical challenges, keeping critical systems running smoothly, and working with a broad range of infrastructure technologies? At Faerch, you'll play a key role in ensuring our digital infrastructure remains secure, stable, and ready to support a growing international business.
The Digital Infrastructure team is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the IT foundation that enables Faerch's operations across multiple locations. We support the infrastructure, networks, systems, and workplace technologies that keep our business connected, productive, and secure.
Faerch is a leading supplier of circular, rigid food packaging with integrated recycling capability. We serve food manufacturers, food service providers, and retailers around the world with our network of state-of-the-art production facilities across Europe and the US. Today, more than 5,400 employees are part of the Faerch Group, which is part of the A.P. Moller Holding.
Working at Faerch means joining a purpose-driven company focused on sustainability and innovation. We'll invest in your growth and offer a supportive, international environment where people thrive.
As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will help ensure the reliability, security, and performance of Faerch's IT infrastructure across local and regional locations. You will work closely with Service Desk colleagues, vendors, and central IT teams to support daily operations, resolve technical issues, and contribute to infrastructure improvements and digitalisation initiatives.
You will take ownership of assigned technical areas and drive tasks from analysis through to resolution, helping to maintain a robust and future-ready IT environment.
We are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work and takes pride in delivering reliable IT services. You are naturally structured in your approach, thrive on solving problems, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You take ownership, follow through on commitments, and enjoy collaborating across teams to achieve the best outcomes for the business.
Within your first 6-12 months, you will have established yourself as a trusted infrastructure partner, contributing to stable and reliable IT operations across your assigned areas.
You will successfully drive incidents and service requests to resolution, maintain high-quality documentation, and help reduce operational risks by strengthening processes, knowledge sharing, and infrastructure resilience. Over time, your contributions will support Faerch's continued digital development and business growth.
You will join an international Digital Infrastructure team that combines deep technical expertise with a collaborative and pragmatic approach. The team works closely with Service Desk, cybersecurity, application specialists, vendors, and business users to deliver reliable IT services across the organisation.
We value teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement, while maintaining a strong focus on supporting the business effectively.
You'll report to Dominik Bronowicki, Infrastructure Manager, who values trust, ownership, and open communication. Dominik believes people do their best work when they are empowered to take initiative, make decisions, and learn from experience, while knowing that support is always close at hand.
You can expect a collaborative and low-hierarchy environment, straightforward communication, and a manager who values teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
This role requires regular on-site presence and close collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders. Therefore, we are prioritising candidates who are based within reasonable commuting distance of our Faerch site in either Holstebro, Denmark or Ely, UK.
Please note that this is not a fully remote role.
Do you enjoy taking ownership of technical challenges and ensuring that critical IT infrastructure runs smoothly behind the scenes? Are you motivated by helping a growing international organisation stay connected, productive, and secure?
Then we'd love to hear from you.
