The Opportunity

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a skilled IT Data Governance Expert to join our dynamic team at Hitachi Energy. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality, integrity, security, and compliance of our IT data assets. You will be at the forefront of defining and implementing governance frameworks, policies, and standards, bridging strategy and execution to enable data-driven decision-making and regulatory adherence across the organization. How You'll Make an Impact
  • Governance Framework & Policy Development: Establish and maintain IT data governance frameworks, policies, dictionaries and standards. Ensure compliance and act as IT Domain Data Steward. Enable technically ServiceNOW as the source of IT Data and the tool to manage IT Data Governance policy adherence.
  • Data Quality & Lifecycle Management: Oversee and improve data quality, classification, and lifecycle processes. Maintain master data accuracy and resolve data/ issues.
  • Access Control & Security: Define and enforce data access and security measures in collaboration with the ServiceNOW team.
  • Collaboration & Training: Align governance with business needs and deliver training and awareness on best practices.
  • Risk & Compliance Management: Conduct data risk assessments, support privacy initiatives, monitor compliance, and report on governance KPIs to senior leadership.
Your Background
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in data governance, IT data management, or compliance roles.
  • Strong understanding of governance frameworks, metadata management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow Data suite, including CMDB, CSDM, Health-score, and Data Governance.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and teams.
  • Fluent English is a must.
