Job summary

Precisely is seeking an IP Tech & Product Counsel to guide strategic IP, data licensing and AI-related compliance for a global tech organization. You’ll partner with product, engineering, marketing and security teams to ensure safe, compliant product development and licensing across software/data platforms.

The role combines drafting and negotiating complex technology agreements with governance, policy, and enablement work, requiring a strong law background and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Law degree from an accredited institution.
• 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in IP and technology law with data licensing and product counseling exposure.
• Professional fluency in English for advanced legal reading and communication.
• Hybrid or full-remote option supporting global needs, including US Eastern and EMEA time zones.
• Ability to work collaboratively and remotely with global teams, across product and data platforms.
• Familiarity with IP concepts (trademarks, patents, copyrights, trade secrets) in software/data contexts.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and review IP and technology agreements (supplier/partner terms, SaaS, data licensing, open source), ensuring compliance and risk balance.
• Support AI compliance work, license reviews, disclosures, and policy documentation.
• Contribute to product counseling across lifecycle from ideation to launch with cross-functional teams.
• Assist with IP portfolio management, patents, trade secrets, and external counsel coordination.
• Monitor regulatory developments in IP, AI, and data law and advise stakeholders.
