Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a motivated university student for a Software Asset Management internship in Kraków. You will support daily SAM operations, help develop policies and procedures, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the SAM program within a global IT setting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the SAM team and support daily operational activities
• Assist in maintaining, reviewing, and developing SAM policies, processes, and procedures
• Support the implementation and enhancement of the SAM strategy
• Use SAM tools to monitor software license compliance and generate reports
• Manage collection, validation, and upload of PoE documentation into the SAM system
• Help implement and enforce controls aligned with Hitachi IT Control Framework
• Ensure data exchange between the SAM platform and IT systems for data enrichment, compliance tracking, and reporting

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a global IT environment while contributing to key Software Asset Management initiatives.

How you'll make a difference

• Collaborate closely with the Software Asset Management (SAM) team and support daily operational activities
• Assist in maintaining, reviewing, and developing Software Asset Management policies, processes, and procedures
• Support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the company's Software Asset Management strategy
• Utilize SAM tools to monitor software license compliance and generate relevant reports
• Manage the collection, validation, and upload of Proof of Entitlement (PoE) documentation into the SAM system
• Help implement and enforce controls aligned with the Hitachi IT Control Framework
• Ensure effective data exchange between the SAM platform and IT systems to support data enrichment, compliance tracking, and reporting

Your background

• Currently enrolled as a university student, graduating in 2027 or later
• Fluent in written and spoken English
