Job summary

Syncron AB in Warsaw invites applications for an Internship Program in the Engineering Department. You, as an Intern, will have a dedicated mentor and be fully involved in our teams' daily work activities, including code review, stand-ups and cooperation with other Syncron's specialists, i.e., Data Scientists, UX or software testers.

Just like a Syncron full-time engineer. You will be assigned tasks with a real business value and related to our core system: Inventory.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Computer Science degree with a minimum of the second year.
• Strong interest in object-oriented or functional programming languages.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Fluent reading of English documentation (B2+/C1).
• Available for 3 months, full-time internship.
• Willingness to learn and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design new functionalities and solutions to problems.
• Implement in Java back-end services and user-facing features.
• Participate in development scope planning, issue prioritization and code reviews.
• Work in a high-performing team using Agile and Scrum.

About the role

When pursuing your studies, do you code in any object‑oriented or functional programming language, such as Java, C++, Python or Ruby? Do you already have any academic projects, using OOP language, on your account? That's great, because we’ve just opened the recruitment for an Internship Program in the Engineering Department! Interested?

You, as an Intern, will have a dedicated mentor and you will be fully involved in our teams' daily work activities, including code review, stand‑ups and cooperation with other Syncron's specialists, i.e., Data Scientists, UX or software testers. Just like a Syncron full‑time engineer.

You will be assigned tasks with a real business value and related to our core system: Inventory. It is an in‑house solution dedicated to the companies from automotive and construction industries (such as Volvo, Ford, Renault, JCB), which helps them optimize their inventory to ensure every spare part is available right on time & place where it's needed the most.

During the internship period, you will learn how to:

• Design new functionalities and solutions to problems,

• Implement in Java both back‑end services and user‑facing features,

• Participate in development scope planning, issue prioritization and code reviews,

• Work in a high‑performing team using Agile and Scrum,

• And most importantly – gain knowledge and experience in a working environment.

You are a good fit if you:

• Know any object‑oriented or functional language (Java preferred but not required),

• Are a minimum second‑year student of Computer Science studies,

• Are available for 3 months, full time

• Are independent, take the initiative, demonstrate your willingness to learn and develop,

• Have a good analytical and problem‑solving ability,

• Have knowledge of algorithms and data structures,

• Know English at a level that allows reading documentation (min. B2+/C1)
