Job summary

Ericsson Kraków invites students to join our RAN Software Developer internship in Traffic Control, offering a 3 or 12 month program designed to give hands-on experience in 5G and RAN software development.

During the internship you will work on coding, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting, with a dedicated mentor and opportunities to apply AI/ML ideas to improve operations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or having completed a degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, CS, or Software Engineering.
• Basic knowledge of the software development lifecycle, Git, and Python.
• Interest in AI/ML and C++ programming.
• Strong English speaking and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Deep dive into mobile network solutions and topology of 5G and newest generation in RAN.
• Participate in the SW development cycle: study, coding, testing and documentation.
• Learn and apply SW troubleshooting methodologies.

Start your career in Ericsson within our INTERNSHIP PROGRAM in Kraków

We offer an exciting opportunity for students to join our team as a RAN (Radio Access Network) Software Developer in Traffic Control organization. You can join the team for 3 or 12 month internship program.

As a member of our Traffic Control, you will be developing and supporting the newest technologies and products developed at Ericsson and contributing to our digitalization journey. This role will provide you with a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience and develop your skills in a dynamic and multicultural environment.

As an intern you will:

• Deep dive into mobile network solutions and topology of 5G and newest generation, gain experience in Radio Access Network domain.
• Participate in the most important steps of SW development cycle: starting from the study phase, including coding, testing, and documentation
• Learn and apply SW troubleshooting methodologies.
• Collaborate with a skilled and supportive team to support investigations and analyses of customer issues.
• Perform fault reproduction and handle configurations in Ericsson's environment, gaining a deep understanding of RAN SW architecture and its connection to 3GPP standards.
• Support our digitalization efforts by exploring and implementing AI and Machine Learning solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

This role is designed to help you build a strong foundation in ICT sector and in product support engineering. You will be mentored by experienced professionals and have numerous opportunities for professional growth and development.

Technical Skills:

• Student or Graduate in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Understands the basics of the software development lifecycle, version control (e.g. Git) and scripting (e.g., Python).
• Programming skills (e.g. C++).
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
• Basic experience using AI tools in programming or testing (vibe coding, agentic work).
• Good speaking and writing skills in English.
