Job summary

PayU is a global fintech company seeking an Internal Control Specialist to strengthen and develop its control environment across the organisation. You will work with multiple teams to analyse processes, map controls and implement improvements.

This role offers a hybrid model with two office days and an opportunity to influence control practices in a fast-growing payments business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as law, administration, finance, management.
  • 3+ years of experience in internal control, internal audit, external audit, risk management or compliance.
  • Strong understanding of internal control systems, ideally within a payment institution or another regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of KNF recommendations relating to internal control systems.
  • Fluency in Polish and English in a professional environment.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of attention to detail while seeing the bigger picture.
  • Proactive mindset and a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
  • Confidence in making decisions and communicating recommendations.
  • Assertiveness and the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct ongoing internal control testing and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop recommendations to address identified gaps and irregularities.
  • Monitor and verify the implementation of recommendations following control testing, inspections and audits.
  • Prepare and update internal control policies and procedures.
  • Design and map control mechanisms across business processes.
  • Support colleagues across PayU in understanding internal controls and the control mechanisms in place.
  • Review the results of horizontal testing and provide additional recommendations where needed.
  • Support internal audits conducted within PayU and help ensure effective follow-up on audit findings.

We’re looking for a Internal Control Specialistto join our Risk Management & Internal Control team at PayU. In this role, you’ll play an important part in strengthening and developing our internal control environment across the organisation.

You’ll work closely with different teams, analyse processes and control mechanisms, identify areas for improvement and help ensure that recommendations are effectively implemented.
