McKinsey & Company in Wroclaw invites you to join the Consumer Operations Benchmarking Initiative (COBI) as an internship. You will support benchmarking analytics, data normalization, quality checks, and reporting to clients in the consumer and retail sectors, using Excel, Power BI, and other tools.
This 12-month program offers mentoring, hands-on experience with senior professionals, and potential for a permanent role based on performance, with a minimum 25 hours per week.

You will support the Consumer Operations Benchmarking Initiative (COBI) team in performing benchmarking analytics (such as data normalization, quality/consistency checks, benchmark creation, etc.) and reporting to our clients from the consumer and retail sectors to improve their operational excellence. COBI is a growing global service line in Retail Consumer & Packaged Goods practice. Building on McKinsey’s long-standing expertise in operations and performed benchmarking and diagnostics, COBI helps to improve clients’ operational performance. The team collects and analyzes client data, focusing on manufacturing and supply chain performance. They collaborate closely with clients and consulting teams to ensure accurate comparisons. COBI provides benchmarking analytics and compares client performance against industry peers, presenting results to senior operations managers. The team continuously refines benchmarking solutions and innovates new offerings using various analytical methods and tools. You will help to further develop and maintain our tools and assets (e.g., with process automation). Your work will include leveraging various tools from the proprietary AI-powered problem-solving and analytics engine to tools like Power BI, Excel, as significant share of work is focused on data analysis and modeling of datasets provided by our clients in Excel. You will have the opportunity to observe client engagements and work alongside senior knowledge professionals and experts on larger client projects or internal knowledge-building initiatives. Ultimately, you will learn from experts in both manufacturing and supply chain operations; our team puts a strong focus on the development of both hard skills (e.g., Excel) and soft skills (e.g., effective communication, translating data into insights). This internship program will enhance your professional and personal development through mentoring and coaching sessions with tenured colleagues. This will last up to 12 months with a minimum of 25 work hours per week. You will have the opportunity for a permanent role depending on the success of your internship and open roles at the time.
