Job summary

Avon is looking for an Intercompany COE Accountant to join our Warsaw-based finance team. You will ensure accurate intercompany transactions, support monthly, quarterly and annual closes, and maintain robust internal controls in a multinational environment.

You will process journals, reconcile balances, and collaborate with stakeholders across markets to drive process improvements and automation while maintaining precise documentation and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within a multinational organisation or shared services environment.
  • Experience with intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and financial close processes.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and intercompany reconciliation practices.
  • Hands-on experience working with ERP systems, ideally JDE/E1.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Fluent English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional accounting qualification or certification would be an advantage.
  • Experience with SharePoint or similar collaboration tools is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate work.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and regions.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and posting monthly intercompany journals and transactions for assigned markets, ensuring accuracy and completion within month-end close deadlines.
  • Processing intercompany charges, recharges, and allocations, ensuring appropriate documentation and compliance with approved agreements.
  • Preparing and processing Natura recharge journals for assigned entities.
  • Performing monthly and quarterly intercompany balance confirmations with trading partners.
  • Preparing intercompany reconciliations, investigating differences, and escalating unresolved issues where appropriate.
  • Reconciling intercompany balance sheet accounts as part of the monthly balance sheet account reconciliation process.
  • Maintaining and monitoring intercompany dispute logs, partnering with stakeholders to resolve outstanding items.
  • Preparing and submitting intercompany-related reporting and documentation in line with corporate reporting calendars.
  • Supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including analysis and explanation of balance movements.
  • Executing assigned internal controls and ensuring compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date intercompany documentation, schedules and supporting records.
  • Supporting the enhancement of automation tools, workflows and system capabilities.
  • Participating in continuous improvement projects and initiatives within the Finance Centre of Excellence.

What you’ll be doing:

As an Intercompany COE Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely reconciliation of intercompany transactions across Avon markets. Working within our Centre of Excellence, you will support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple countries and functions. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to process improvements, support automation initiatives, and help drive operational excellence in a dynamic, international environment.
