Job summary

METRO Global Solution Center PL in Szczecin, Poland, seeks an Intercompany Team Lead to steer daily operations including partner settlements and invoicing. You will ensure accuracy and timeliness of reconciliations while deepening end-to-end accounting knowledge within the area.

You will guide a multinational team, drive process improvements, and collaborate with stakeholders to maintain high standards of compliance and efficiency. A regular office presence supports effective team leadership.

Qualifications

• University degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Prior experience in leading or managing a team.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Experience in managing finance and accounting processes.
• SAP knowledge (FI/CO modules) - a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the daily operations of the Intercompany team (partner settlements & intercompany invoicing).
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of all activities and closing processes (Intercompany reconciliation).
• Establish solid understanding of end-to-end accounting processes within area.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members in complex accounting matters.
• Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and operational excellence.
• Regular presence in the office to foster collaboration and team support.
