Job summary

Amentum seeks a Chief Engineer/Operations Manager to lead Instrumentation O&M and I&M efforts for the ROSIE program supporting U.S. Army missions. The role requires extensive engineering leadership, program management, and strategic planning across R&D and field operations.

The selected candidate will manage ECPs, budgets, and schedules, ensuring adherence to configuration control while guiding multi-disciplinary teams and government stakeholders to achieve mission objectives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering or a scientific discipline or PhD with waiver.
• Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary technical teams and complex projects.
• Strong ability to analyze technical challenges, forecast solutions, and execute long-term strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead RTS Instrumentation Chief Engineer and Operations Manager across R&D and operational environments.
• Develop, execute, and maintain ROSIE Instrumentation I&M and O&M plans aligned with contract objectives.
• Maintain performance baselines through approved configuration control and change management.
• Develop and manage engineering labor estimates, cost projections, and risk assessments for ROSIE instrumentation systems.
• Oversee execution of instrumentation-related ECPs and deliverables to meet budget and schedule.
• Establish performance measurement systems, analyze metrics, and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with leadership and government counterparts to define strategies and objectives.
• Provide technical guidance for radar, telemetry, and optics operations to support ROSIE missions.
