Job summary

Hatch Ltd. in Katowice, Poland, is seeking a highly motivated AI/ML Scientist to join our Digital team.

Reporting to the Global Director of Analytics and Decision Solutions, you will pilot, develop, deploy, and scale advanced analytics across industrial operations and enterprise value chains. You will translate complex findings into actionable recommendations, build robust data pipelines, and collaborate with process engineers, data engineers, control specialists, and IT/OT teams to deploy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost).
• Solid understanding of ML and statistical modeling concepts (time-series, feature engineering, optimization).
• Experience applying analytics in mining, energy, infrastructure, or asset-intensive sectors; CV/LLM apps are a plus.
• Experience with data pipelines, SQL, APIs, ETL/ELT, and cloud platforms; model deployment is expected.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to translate complex results into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, validate, and deploy AI/ML models for industrial applications.
• Develop robust data pipelines and feature engineering workflows.
• Collaborate with process, data, control engineers, and IT/OT teams to deploy models into production.
• Identify high-value AI opportunities and quantify business impact.
• Support end-to-end AI lifecycle from problem definition to monitoring and improvement.
• Contribute to reusable frameworks and best practices in Hatch’s AI capabilities.
