Job summary

Nordea is seeking a Windows Platform Owner to take end-to-end accountability for the core on-premise Windows ecosystem. In this role, you will define the roadmap, standards, and lifecycle management for our operating system footprint across physical bare-metal servers, virtualization layers, and private cloud architectures.

You will balance hands-on architectural governance with strategic planning to ensure maximum reliability, security, and scalability for our infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows Server internals and performance analysis.
• Experience hosting Windows Server on enterprise hypervisors.
• Proficient in PowerShell, Terraform, MECM/SCCM or Intune.
• Experience with AD/Azure AD/Entra ID and GPO frameworks.
• Ability to manage TCO for licenses and EA with vendor.
• Strong cross-functional communication and influence.

Responsibilities

• Define, publish, and execute the multi-year roadmap for Windows Server platforms.
• Design, build, and govern Gold Image blueprints for bare-metal deployments and hypervisors.
• Own automated Windows provisioning pipelines and configuration management.
• Define platform security baselines and patch governance.
• Forecast compute, memory, and storage needs and plan hardware refreshes.
• Integrate identity, networking, and storage with Windows Server platforms.
• Manage vendor relationships and licensing for Microsoft products.
