Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Python Engineer to join a hybrid team in Poland, with three in-office days per week in Gdańsk or Kraków.

You will build, refine, and deploy secure, scalable Python-based software across web apps, APIs, data pipelines, and automation tools within cloud environments. The role requires 3+ years of Python experience with Django/Flask/FastAPI, strong cloud skills, and familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Minimum 3 years of Python development experience, particularly with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Professional experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, plus related services.
• Proficiency in cloud-native tech such as Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless frameworks.
• Ability to design RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL and MongoDB/DynamoDB).
• Strong software development practices: Agile, Git, and unit testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality Python software for web apps, APIs, data pipelines, AI/ML models, and automation.
• Architect and oversee cloud-based systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Build scalable microservices and serverless apps using cloud-native tools.
• Improve data pipelines via Python and cloud services (Lambda, Functions).
• Strengthen reliability with testing and monitoring best practices.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and engineering to refine features and roll out solutions.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines to improve deployments in cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot production issues and enhance performance across cloud infra.
• Stay current with Python and cloud advancements; guide junior teammates.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain quality standards.
