Job summary

Outokumpu is seeking a NOC Manager to build and lead the Network Operations Center, ensuring stable and secure IT operations. You will drive transition of services from providers to an internal team and shape a high-performing NOC organisation.

You will recruit and onboard NOC Engineers, oversee daily operations, manage incidents and alerts, and drive continuous improvement through automation and AI opportunities, while coordinating with stakeholders and vendors in Katowice.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a Network Operations Centre or IT Operations environment.
• Previous experience leading technical support or operations teams.
• Strong knowledge of network technologies and tools.
• Broad understanding of infrastructure technologies.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
• ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
• Industry certifications are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the NOC function together with the Head of Compute and Network team, including hiring and onboarding NOC Engineers.
• Lead daily NOC operations, ensuring service availability and performance against SLAs and KPIs.
• Manage incidents, alerts, and events, acting as the escalation point for major incidents.
• Lead, coach, and develop NOC Engineers, including performance management and resource planning.
• Manage team rotas, on‑call arrangements, and operational reporting.
• Ensure compliance with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management).
• Drive root cause analysis, continuous improvement, automation, and AI opportunities to improve NOC efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to manage risks and improve service reliability.
