Job summary
Wipro Limited Poland is seeking a hands-on Linux Engineer to join our hybrid Poland team. You will support a large-scale Linux (RHEL) infrastructure, participate in patches, backups, and lifecycle management, and collaborate with OEMs to maintain product readiness.
The role involves designing and operating Linux environments, managing clusters, backups, and monitoring, with opportunities for learning and career growth within a global technology services company.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Linux (RHEL) and infrastructure design.
- Experience in patch management and lifecycle maintenance for Linux infra.
- Knowledge of clustering solutions and backup/storage technologies.
- Ability to document configurations, risks, and mitigations clearly.
Responsibilities
- Manage and operate Linux (RHEL) environments, including LVM and user management.
- Coordinate patching, backups, and firmware updates with OEMs.
- Design and maintain cluster solutions (Veritas/PowerHA/GPFS).
- Assess risks, document SMTD/Risk Register, and support Go-Live readiness.
