Job summary

Dover Imaging & Identification (DII) is seeking a General Accountant and Accounts Payable professional to ensure smooth AP operations for Europe entities. You will act as a technical expert in accounts payable and collaborate with the Shared Services Center and finance teams.

Responsibilities include monitoring AP metrics, supporting non-finance stakeholders, resolving VAT and import/export issues, and validating payments. Strong English and SAP-FI-CO experience preferred.

Qualifications

• University degree in accounting (2–3 years of higher education).
• Over 5 years of experience in an international organization.
• Knowledge of SAP FI-CO or another ERP system and Microsoft Office.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage priorities.
• Independence, responsiveness and initiative.
• Analytical and adaptable with strong communication skills.
• Fluency in English required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the efficiency and smooth operation of accounts payable and serve as liaison between SSC and departments.
• Monitor performance metrics and SSC activities related to accounts payable.
• Support non-finance departments and resolve complex AP issues with expertise.
• Identify and resolve VAT, import/export, workflows or price disputes.
• Validate and track payments.
• Participate in cross-functional projects with Global Process Owner.
• Monitor account reconciliation for old, unprocessed invoices.
• Support general accounting with provisions for purchases and expense reports.
• Support SOX controls, external audits, and ad hoc analyses.
• Analyze changes in AP balances during monthly closings.
• Review and record provisions submitted by management controllers.
• Prepare intercompany invoices and track their payment; manage intercompany postings.
