Job summary

Pico, a global market data and analytics platform leader, is looking for a software engineer to join the iHub team in Kraków. You will design, develop, and integrate new features for a world-class analytics platform.

You will work with Java and Python, contribute to CI/CD, and collaborate with data and ML teams to build high-performance, scalable solutions for trading data.

This hybrid role requires a proactive coder who values quality, testing, and clean design to support multi-geo deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience with Java and Python.
• Automated unit-testing and integration testing.
• Maintainable, modular code with coding standards.
• High-availability and high-performance system delivery.
• Knowledge of SDLC (Waterfall, Agile, Kanban).
• Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Druid, Presto or similar.
• RESTful web services experience.
• In-memory solutions background is a plus.
• Familiarity with real-time/streaming and batch big data concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate new capabilities into the platform.
• Develop applications to provide insights for trading data.
• Apply CI/CD practices to create a high-performance, secure system.
• Create innovative analytics solutions combining financial services and network data.
• Advise on production deployments as a domain expert.
• Collaborate with ML team to integrate new algorithms.
