Job summary

AstraZeneca plc is recruiting for a Compliance Manager for Cell Lines to support the Global Cell Bank. The role involves licensing, renewals, and coordinating with scientists and procurement to manage contracts and ensure governance across AstraZeneca R&D.

You will handle regulatory reviews, vendor negotiations, and ensure data integrity in the Limfinity system while upholding high ethical standards and working independently on cross-division projects.

Qualifications

• Essential: Degree level or equivalent qualifications.
• Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) with the ability to present information clearly.
• Ability to work with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and territories.
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
• Good understanding of governance including cell line licenses and biosafety requirements.
• Understanding of the drug discovery process.
• Excellent analytical, written and oral communications.
• Strong ability to work independently.
• High ethical standards and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate licenses and contracts with procurement and vendor teams.
• Ensure compliance of immortalised cell lines with relevant policies and standards.
• Review local regulatory and legal requirements for cell line use/transfer.
• Track payments and annual cell line usage aligned with vendor requirements.
• Maintain and review the global cell line database (Limfinity).
• Raise and track Purchase Orders and ensure timely payments.
• Align all cell banks with the Global Standard processes.
• Ensure licenses and permits are in place before transfers or purchases.
