Aptiv is seeking a Category Buyer for Plastic Components to develop and execute procurement strategies for assigned parts, coordinating with Category Manager and cross-functional teams to meet SCM goals. You will lead RFQs, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance while driving cost reductions.

We value strong negotiation, excellent communication, and an analytical mindset. Fluency in English and MS Office proficiency are required; experience in mechanical/chemical technical fields

Qualificações

• Master's Degree from commercial or/and technical university, preferred mechanical/chemical/technical background
• 3-5 years of purchasing experience
• Strong negotiation skills and excellent communication skills
• High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
• Strategic planning and execution
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• English speaking

Responsabilidades

• Negotiated commercial agreements with suppliers, driving year-over-year cost reductions and achieving sourcing objectives.
• Developed and managed supplier strategies, including supplier selection, rationalization, and long-term partnership planning.
• Led RFQ and sourcing activities for new and ongoing programs, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, and timing targets.
• Created, negotiated, and maintained framework agreements in compliance with SCM policies and procedures.
• Collaborated with cross-functional teams to identify and onboard suppliers for new product development programs.
• Monitored supplier performance and quality metrics, partnering with Supplier Development teams to resolve issues and improve outcomes.
• Analyzed market trends, raw material costs, logistics, labor rates, and currency fluctuations to optimize procurement strategies and mitigate risks.
• Worked closely with global sourcing and category teams to build supplier bid lists, conduct competitive sourcing events, and support strategic procurement initiatives.
