Job summary

Enery is seeking an experienced HSE professional to act as the focal point for renewable energy projects across the CEE region. You will ensure compliance with local and European HSE regulations and drive risk assessments, incident investigations, and training to maintain high safety standards.

The role requires English and Polish fluency, NEBOSH qualification, and willingness to travel. You will work within a multidisciplinary, international team committed to safe, sustainable energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Health & Safety, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Renewable Energy, or another relevant technical discipline.
• Experience in HSE/ESG roles in onshore wind, renewable energy, infrastructure or construction.
• Experience implementing and maintaining HSE management systems; hazard identification, risk assessment and incident investigation.

Responsibilities

• Act as HSE focal point for renewable energy projects and assets in Estonia and provide support to other projects in the CEE region.
• Ensure compliance with local and European HSE legislation, policies and standards; promote a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the HSE focal point for renewable energy projects and operational assets in Estonia and provide support to other projects across the CEE region, as required.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable local and European HSE legislation, company policies, and Group HSE standards, promoting a strong culture of health, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Lead and maintain project HSE risk assessments, review method statements and safe systems of work, and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are implemented and regularly reviewed.
• Drive incident prevention by promoting proactive hazard identification, reporting near misses, conducting incident investigations and root-cause analyses, and ensuring timely implementation and closure of corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop, implement, and maintain emergency preparedness and response plans, including coordinating drills and ensuring personnel are familiar with emergency procedures.
• Oversee the HSE performance of contractors and subcontractors by conducting prequalification reviews, inductions, inspections, audits, and performance monitoring, ensuring compliance with contractual and company HSE requirements.
• Plan, coordinate, and deliver HSE training and awareness initiatives to ensure employees and contractors maintain the required competencies and safety awareness.
• Conduct regular HSE inspections, audits, and compliance reviews across project sites, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and ensuring timely resolution of findings.
• Monitor, analyse, and report HSE performance using leading and lagging KPIs (including hazards, near misses, incidents, and corrective actions), providing meaningful insights and recommendations to management.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Health & Safety, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Renewable Energy, or another relevant technical discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in HSE and/or ESG roles, within the onshore wind, renewable energy, infrastructure, or construction sectors.
• Proven experience in implementing and maintaining HSE management systems, hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
• Experience conducting HSE and/or ESG audits and inspections. Previous experience in ESG consultancy, technical due diligence, or a similar advisory role would be a strong advantage.
• Solid knowledge of HSE legislation and regulations, with familiarity with internationally recognized ESG standards and frameworks, such as IFC, GRI, and EBRD.
• A recognized Health & Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Certificate, NEBOSH Diploma, or equivalent).
• Fluency in English and Polish, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint or similar collaboration platforms.
• Strong analytical and data management skills, with experience working with ESG and HSE data, dashboards, and reporting, and an interest in leveraging digital tools and simple automation to improve efficiency.
• Proactive, hands-on, and self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary, international teams, and willingness to travel regularly across the region.
• A valid Category B driving license and willingness to travel by car as part of the role.
