Job summary

Elsevier, part of RELX, is hiring a HR Shared Service Advisor EMEA in Poland. Hybrid role with mostly home-based work and occasional travel to offices. Qualifications

  • Fluent in English; a 3rd language (Italian, Spanish or German) is a plus.

About the Role

The Human GPS Advisor delivers centralized HR support to employees and managers, covering areas such as time off, leave policies, and country-specific benefits. This role manages a wide range of HR transactions and inquiries throughout the employee lifecycle. The advisor adheres to established procedures for resolving employee questions and issues, while also proactively addressing new or undefined requests to ensure smooth and efficient service center operations. In addition, the advisor collaborates closely with HR Technology, HR Business Partners (HRBPs), and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to resolve complex issues and continuously improve service delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for benefits, and other HR transactions for employees and managers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies and regulations
  • Respond to employee and manager queries and requests regarding HR programs, policies, and procedures, and escalating complex or sensitive issues as needed
  • Maintain and update employee records and data in the HR information systems (Workday), and ensure data integrity and security
  • Provide support and guidance to employees and managers on the use of self-service tools and technology for HR transactions and information
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders like HRBP, HR COEs and others as well as external vendors to implement and improve service center processes, systems, and standards
  • Identify and report issues, trends, and opportunities for service center improvement and enhancement
  • Participate in training and development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in human resource service delivery
  • Participate in engagement activities with other regional shared services team members
  • Collaborate with internal audit team and external auditors to complete audits on HR operations
Required qualifications, skills and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in human resources, business administration, or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in human resource service center, operations, or related role in a multi-national company, preferably worked for different countries
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite (excel, word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot and advise on solutions
  • Fluent in English
  • A 3rd language is a plus: Italian, Spanish and or German

Primary Location Base Pay Range: Home Based - Poland zł85,500 - zł142,500.
