DOU Polska in Wrocław is seeking a strategic Head of Software (Embedded) to unite distributed teams, standardize engineering practices, and drive cross‑functional delivery across embedded Linux, RTOS, and edge AI platforms.

You will coach Software Development Managers and Tech Leads, align architectural standards, support pre‑sales activities, and partner with Recruitment to scale headcount while delivering business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience managing embedded software/firmware orgs (C/C++, Embedded Linux, RTOS).
• Strong architectural background in embedded systems and edge processing.
• Hands-on pre-sales: proposals, client pitches, effort estimations.

Responsibilities

• Own domain-wide software delivery across multiple projects with secure lifecycles.
• Lead pre-sales calls, discovery sessions, and client proposals; estimate engineering efforts.
• Establish domain-wide coding guidelines, automated tests, and CI/CD for embedded systems.
• Align Software Development Managers and Tech Leads, resolve conflicts, maintain shared direction.
• Oversee resource allocation and partner with Recruitment to scale capacity.
• Act as domain authority for clients, product managers, and cross-functional leaders.
