Michael Page is recruiting on behalf of a large retailer to appoint a Head of Business Applications. You will define strategy, oversee ERP/CRM platforms, and drive modernization across the global landscape.

You will lead international teams, partner with senior stakeholders, and deliver measurable business value through digital transformation and cloud adoption.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience with enterprise business applications.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing international teams.
• Experience with ERP/CRM platforms and digital transformation.

Business Analysis & Process Design

• Define and execute the Business Applications strategy aligned with the company's overall business strategy.
• Develop and maintain the enterprise application roadmap, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
• Drive application modernization, cloud adoption, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to standardize and optimize business processes across global operations.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve business performance.
• Ensure technology investments deliver measurable business outcomes.

Application Portfolio Management

Provide strategic leadership for the company's enterprise application landscape, including:

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (ERP)
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CRM)
• BaaN ERP
• Enterprise Integration Platform
• Data & Analytics solutions
• Reporting and Business Intelligence platforms
• Enterprise Applications supporting Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, Procurement, HR, and Customer Service

Ensure applications remain secure, scalable, supported, and aligned with business needs.

Leadership & People Management

• Lead and develop an international Business Applications organization.
• Inspire, coach, and mentor managers and technical specialists.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Manage workforce planning, recruitment, succession planning, and talent development.
• Promote knowledge sharing and professional development across the team.

Business Relationship Management

Build strong partnerships with senior business stakeholders across all functions.

Translate business requirements into technology solutions and ensure application initiatives are prioritized according to business value.

Service Delivery & Operations

Ensure stable and efficient operation of all business applications by:

• overseeing application support and maintenance
• monitoring service quality and performance
• ensuring SLA compliance
• leading incident, problem, and change management
• improving application availability and reliability
• driving continuous service improvement

Project & Program Delivery

Lead strategic application initiatives, including:

• ERP and CRM implementations
• Business process transformation
• System integrations
• Regulatory compliance initiatives
• Application upgrades
• Global rollouts
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to business expectations.

Governance & Architecture

Establish governance for:

• Demand Management
• Portfolio Management
• Solution Design
• Application Lifecycle Management
• Release Management
• Testing Strategy
• Environment Management
• Data Governance
• Security and Access Management
• Segregation of Duties (SoD)

Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Infrastructure teams to ensure technology standards are maintained.

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum 10 years of experience managing enterprise business applications.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience leading international and cross-functional teams.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
• Experience managing global ERP and CRM platforms.
• Demonstrated success in digital transformation and enterprise application modernization.
