Job summary

Michael Page in Warsaw seeks an experienced L3 application and infrastructure support professional to manage critical business systems, analyze issues, and drive improvements across Azure and on-premises environments.

You will develop automation with PowerShell, collaborate with global IT teams and vendors, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure high service reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in L3 application and infrastructure support for business-critical systems.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including administration, scripting, replication, Always On, monitoring and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Azure environments (Azure Native, Azure AVS) and hybrid cloud/on-premises infrastructures.
• Ability to develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to improve operational efficiency.
• Proactive troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and complex issue resolution.
• Experience managing updates, releases and deployments through formal change management.
• Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing skills.
• Collaborative work with global IT teams, vendors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support finance, business intake, CRM, time capture, and other critical applications.
• Analyze system issues, assess risks, identify enhancements, and advise management.
• Manage and monitor the team’s support queue, ensuring high service quality.
• Drive infrastructure changes and process improvements within the team and IT.
• Collaborate with vendors during service reviews to improve resilience and reduce risk.
• Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities across environments.
• Recommend reliability and performance improvements through testing and analysis.
• Monitor application, database, MS SQL, and replication environments; optimize performance.
• Develop SQL jobs and PowerShell scripts to automate operations.
• Troubleshoot and maintain end-to-end infra across Azure AVS, Azure Native, and SaaS/cloud.
• Produce technical documentation and communicate system changes; participate in CAB/Release.
• Coordinate Windows and app patches, updates, and releases in maintenance cycles.
• Package, configure, test and deploy software updates per security/compliance needs.
• Partner with Infrastructure & Operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Work with customer-facing teams to support critical apps and services.
• Collaborate with Global Service Desk and regional teams to resolve issues.
• Provide technical expertise for projects and management requests.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide out-of-hours support.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of team processes.
• Collect and report performance data, metrics and service insights.

• Manage and monitor the team's support queue, ensuring high service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Drive application infrastructure changes and process improvements within the team and across the wider IT department.

• Recommend and implement service reliability, performance, and resilience enhancements through analysis and testing.

• Coordinate the installation of Windows and application patches, updates, and releases as part of monthly and quarterly maintenance cycles.

• Work closely with customer-facing teams and stakeholders to support business-critical applications and services.

The Successful Applicant

• Experience in L3 application and infrastructure support, handling incidents, problem management, changes, and investigations for business-critical systems.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including database administration, SQL scripting, replication, Always On Availability Groups, monitoring, alerting, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Azure environments (Azure Native, Azure AVS) and hybrid cloud/on-premises infrastructures.
• Ability to develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to improve operational efficiency.
• Perform proactive troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex technical issues.
• Manage application updates, releases, and deployments through structured change management processes.
• Monitor application and database performance, identify service gaps, and recommend reliability and resilience improvements.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge-sharing materials.
• Collaborate effectively with global IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality support and service improvements.
