Job summary

Visa is seeking a Data Engineering Graduate in Warsaw to help build scalable data foundations powering analytics across Europe. You will develop ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, and Spark, and work with AI tools to draft code, tests, and documentation.

The role blends data engineering with AI-enabled workflows, including building AI agents and agentic processes to automate data tasks, while collaborating with global teams and following engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• Graduating in 2027 with a technical degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar.
• Strong programming foundations in Python and SQL.
• Interest in backend engineering, data systems, and scalable data processing.
• Familiarity with big-data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop, Hive).
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of Visa’s data ecosystem across Data Science, Product, and Analytics teams.
• Build, test, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python, SQL, Spark, and big-data tools.
• Use AI coding assistants to draft pipeline code, generate tests, and write documentation.
• Design and build AI agents and workflows to extend ETL pipelines.
• Collaborate with global Data Engineering teams on productionizing data assets.
• Automate backend data workflows with DAG-based orchestration (Airflow).
• Work with large datasets, perform transformations, and ensure data quality.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain proper documentation.
