Job summary

Visa is seeking a Data Engineering Graduate to help build scalable data foundations powering analytics, AI, and product development across Europe. You will focus on backend data pipelines, data quality, and automation using Python, SQL, Spark, and AI-assisted coding tools.

Collaboration with global teams and strong emphasis on code quality and documentation are core to the role. You will work in a hybrid setup, with at least three days in the office, and participate in designing AI agents,

Qualifications

• Graduating in 2027 with a technical degree and starting in October 2027.
• Strong programming foundations in Python and SQL.
• Interest in backend engineering and scalable data processing.
• Familiarity with big-data frameworks (Spark/Hadoop/Hive).
• Clear English communication, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of Visa’s data ecosystem across Data Science, Product, and Analytics.
• Build, test, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, Spark.
• Use AI coding assistants throughout the development lifecycle.
• Design and maintain AI agents and AI-powered data workflows.
• Collaborate with global Data Engineering teams on productionizing assets.
• Contribute to documentation, code review, and CI/CD practices.
• Troubleshoot pipeline issues and optimize performance.
