Job summary

Gcore is hiring a Software Engineer to design and deliver the Traffic Management System API and the agent that drives edge routing across our global fleet. You will extend BGP/Anycast, build automated failover, and strengthen reliability with tests and observability.

The role emphasizes independence, Linux-based development, and DevOps practices, with collaboration across engineering, security, and product teams. Hybrid or remote options apply depending on the role.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in software engineering, with 3+ years in Go.
Strong independence and proactive communication when owning work end-to-end.
Comfort working in Linux environments and with DevOps practices.
Familiarity with SLI/SLO/SLAs and incident management.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain the Traffic Management System API (Go service) for global edge routing.
Develop the agent that applies routing config to edge nodes and enforces desired state.
Extend BGP and Anycast capabilities, including config rendering and prefix filtering.
Implement automated failover and high-availability solutions with health-aware traffic offload.
Increase reliability via tests, observability, and metrics across the routing pipeline.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and resiliency.
