Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking an experienced Category Manager to lead the sourcing, procurement, and management of temporary labor. The role focuses on IT and Engineering spend, with responsibility for end-to-end procurement and supplier relationships.

You will ensure compliance with local labor laws and immigration requirements while identifying risks and driving cost-efficient programs. Hybrid work model and strong multinational collaboration are part of the offering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in temporary labor category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement.
• Understanding of legislative restrictions, labor laws, and compliance for temporary staffing.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced multinational environment.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for temporary labor with IT/Engineering focus.
• Lead end-to-end procurement, including supplier identification, negotiation, and contracts.
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws and immigration requirements.
• Build relationships with staffing suppliers and evaluate performance.
• Identify risks and implement business continuity for labor supply.
• Drive programs to improve cost efficiency and quality.
• Manage large-scale regional projects aligned with global strategy.
• Collaborate with Global SCM Category Lead to improve the category strategy.
